Customer Service. You never know what a company’s customer service is like until you have to use it. I recently had a problem and this was dealt with in an excellent manner. They kept in contact with me until the problem was solved. Good customer service is very rare these days but SSE went the extra mile. That means a lot in my book.

Great stuff SSE All power off at 1pm. You thought it was meter, however Avro’s meter guys determined it wasn’t. Your chap with us by 4:30pm, fuse at substation, power back on at 5pm. Pretty impressive. Excellent customer care on phone. Thank you Adam.

We had a pretty big bill come in for our winter quarter which we were very upset about and to be honest before I phoned them I was phoning to complain about it. I spoke to someone called Mark today and he explained what happened with the bills very clearly, he helped us understand the rates and the costs and put us on a good and affordable tariff. He completely re-assured us and put our minds at ease over the payments. He was patient and explained all of my queries. Simply outstanding customer service that made us really put our trust into SSE, he is an attribute to the company.

Our boiler broke. I signed up for sse fix and cover as it was cheaper than the other big provider. Then I read reviews…. and started to panic. No need. We had booked them Thursday night… they arrived Friday. Found two issues with boiler, one issue was fixed. One was gas related and a part needed ordered. We had a cold weekend but sse had kindly left us with electric heaters. Monday morning heating engineer arrived. Fixed boiler. Serviced boiler and checked all radiators, we are now signed up for annual cover. Can’t fault them at all. I wasn’t going to leave a review because as most people do… I only tend to if I need to vent about bad service. Well done SSE.

I am surprised at the reviews for SSE. We have been with them since April 2017. So far I have found them to be very helpful when I have needed to telephone them, they have automatically reduced our monthly payment for the gas and electric, paid money back into my account that had built up. No one can match the deal I have on the broadband with free telephone calls 7.00pm to 7.00am and all weekend for £19.90 per month. I would recommend SSE as an excellent energy provider.
