EE broadband offers explained
Back in 2010, T-Mobile and Orange merged and as a result new company was founded which is known as EE and now it is owned by BT.
EE mainly offers mobile packages, home broadband and TV packages to the UK consumers and businesses. EE is one of the largest communication providers in the UK. They use BT’s superfast home broadband network to offer home broadband and are one of the “big 4” mobile network operators.
They offer super-fast broadband speeds up to 67 Mbps and in some locations up to 300Mbps using the UK’s biggest superfast broadband network. They offer a wide range of home broadband, Wi-Fi and mobile broadband products which is backed up by their own 4G mobile network.
If you have EE’s Apple TV plan, you can easily add sports channels, some top TV packages and home phone deals, you can also stream 4K content through BT sport channels. To take advantage of these deals you are usually required to sign up to a pay monthly EE mobile contract deal.
Why should you sign up with EE?
- 4G coverage around 70% of the UK which covers 98% of the population
- Mobile and broadband customers get special perks
- UK based customer service call centres
- 4K TV offered via Apple TV which includes BT sport package
- Smart Hub from EE
EE Wi-Fi broadband deals
Wi-Fi broadband means wireless home broadband, there are lots of options now available when you are looking to compare Wi-Fi broadband plans. With EE, you can get 4GEE home router that connects to 4G mobile network and broadband to avoid any outages and the average speed is up to 31 Mbps. There is no need for an engineer to come and fix equipment – just plug and play, it’s as easy as that.
Another option could be 4G Wi-Fi mini dongle for creating Wi-Fi hotspot throughout your home or wherever you are within the UK. You can also choose the amount of data you want with this plan, it is typically from 2GB to 20GB a month and can connect up to 20 different devices at any given time.
As of 2019, they also offer 5G mobile broadband services using the HTC 5G Hub in some selected areas. You can use the EE 5G-coverage checker to see if you can get 5G mobile broadband.
