Npower originally known as RWE npower plc is an energy generator and supplier for domestic and commercial purposes. In 2002, npower was acquired by a German company named RWE and since then it is known as RWE npower plc. It was a part of the Big Six energy suppliers but is no longer one of them. But still popular for producing 10% of electricity used in the UK. It has a huge customer base of around 6.5 million customers across United Kingdom.
It is one of the very few energy companies that has the Carbon Trust Award to its credit. It is given to those companies who are really good at managing energy, water and waste. It uses coal, oil, biomass and natural gas as the fuel for power generation.
“We have moved energy providers several times in recent years, sometimes for better tariffs but also due to poor customer service by some suppliers. Serious issues with Scottish Power (the worst company I have ever dealt with in any line of business!) led me switch to NPower about 18 months ago and the experience has been a pleasant surprise. I was concerned about switching to npower given all the bad reviews however I am glad I did now as the switch went smoothly and whenever I needed to contact customer services I got through quickly (on an 0800 number so no charges) and my queries were dealt with efficiently and in a friendly manner. Michael found out where my issue was went through 2 years worth of history, made sure I was signed up for the warm house discount and also filled out the form there and then. “I honestly love their online dashboard. I had resolved my billing issue by chat today. OK, it took four people one hour in total but it was complicated scenario etc. I have switched to NPower and their communication was so far the best out of all energy providers I had dealt with. 5* for the effort!“

Even though they went through big system changes the same as some of the other suppliers. They explained the impacts and resolution of my billing issue within capability at the time.
