Powershop Energy offer customers a choice of two ways of buying their energy. For those who prefer a traditional and familiar way of buying their energy, the company offers Powershop Lite. This gives customers fixed monthly payments, a fixed unit rate and a 1 year contract length.
The other option, Powershop Pro, offers customers something different. Payments are variable, depending on how much energy you use and which ‘Powerpacks’ you have purchased. Powerpacks offer you the chance to buy discounted energy, giving you savings against the baseline tariffs. You can log into your account and decide when and if to buy Powerpacks. You can also buy Powerpacks to use later on, which may be a helpful option to help with budgeting and smoothing the cost of energy throughout the year.
Powershop release 4 to 5 new Powerpacks each month. Different Powerpacks will be available, for example to cover a day’s energy requirements or 4 days. The value of the Powerpacks always remain the same but because the baseline tariff varies with Powershop Pro they may cover more or less of your monthly bills.
