The newest model of tablet to be released by Sony is being billed the lightest, slimmest Sony tablet to date.
Sony are making several bold claims about the Xperia Z4, and it looks as if quite a few of them could make this tablet one to keep an eye on in coming weeks. The Xperia Z4 will come with one of the longest life batteries on the market, with a video playback time of more than 16 hours, along with a powerful 64 bit processor. The Z4 will be available with a 10.1 inch screen and the display quality will run at the top industry level 2K screen.
The Xperia Z2 was a fairly successful product, but lacked the speed and processing power of some of the more advanced models available. At 389 grams, the Xperia Z4 is the lightest tablet on the market and at 6.1 mm thick, it is also the slimmest tablet on the market too. Sony says they have not sacrificed functionality for the light and slim design. With an 8 megapixel main camera and DSEE HX speakers lining the tablet, sound and picture quality will remain very high. Sony have also included their new LDAC data transmitting feature that can transmit audio and video files to devices wirelessly up to 3 times faster than traditional Bluetooth.
Another feature that could make this tablet an important one is the ability to take your next generation gaming systems on the go with you. With PS4 Remote Play, a user can connect their Playstation 4 to their Xperia Z4 and play their games on the go with a wireless remote. Membership with Xperia Lounge Gold will also provide access to the full range of Sony’s entertainment offerings.
This looks to be a light, slim, heavily functional tablet with some excellent integration with Sony’s other platforms.
