The beautiful island of Malta is situated between Libya and Sicily in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. The island boasts gorgeous seashores with excellent beaches which offera great selection of water sports. Malta is famed for its beaches and all year round sunny weather.

Visiting Malta

The blend of Mediterranean nightlife and lifestyle makes it a favorite spot for tourists. It also has a number of historical sites and museums that grabs the fancy of the “culture vultures”.

Malta is a fairly cheap destination and low cost flights are operated by Air Malta, Ryan Air and easy Jet. It’s best to book in advance to be sure of catching a cheap flight.

Though Malta is a very small place it has huge appeal and character, for example the capital Valetta which has the Grand Harbor- the largest harbor in the Mediterranean. Whilst there, why not hire a boat and take a cruise around the harbor or, have a coffee at the many cafes that parade the coast line. Walk round the tiny streets to admire the atmosphere and architectural delights of this tiny but historic island.

Golden Bay and Ghadira Bay have stunning beaches and lots of water sports. It is perfect for a spot of sun bathing, swimming, surfing or sailing in the Mediterranean Sea.Make sure to visit the Azure Window which has amazing caves and turquoise water. Interestingly, it wasthe location to the film Troy.

The Maltese Weather

Just like any other Mediterranean country, Malta has a hot summer and mild winter. Summer begins around mid April, with visitors spotted sunbathing until November. Rainfall can occur anywhere between October and April.
