21 May 2018

British Gas has launched Everything Online Jun 2019, Everything Online Green Jun 19, HomeEnergy Tracker Sep 2019 and HomeEnergy Fix Jun 2019 and removed their HomeEnergy Plus Cover May 2019 tariff. Changes are now live and the new tariffs are available for sale via internet channels only.

British Gas’s Everything Online Jun 2019 prices are fixed until 30th June 2019. There is a £30 per fuel cancellation penalty if you leave British Gas before 13th May 2019. The estimated savings figure on the results table assumes tariff rates and discounts remain the same for a year. However, after the contract period British Gas will either transfer you to the closest equivalent offer available or their Standard tariff, either of which may be more expensive than Everything Online Jun 2019. Customers on this tariff will pay monthly by direct debit and must manage their account online. If not, British Gas may move you to a more expensive tariff. This means by choosing this tariff you agree to give British Gas your email address, register for an online account and receive all communication electronically. You’ll also need to provide meter readings at least once a quarter either online, via text, or via their app to make sure you’re paying the right amount (if you don’t have smart meters which send the meter readings automatically). You can still chat with British Gas if you need to, but it must be on webchat or email. By taking this tariff you must also opt for a smart meter if you don’t have one already. Smart meter installation can be booked by going to the British Gas website. You will need to choose a date by 31st July 2018 and be at home for the installation to continue to be eligible for this tariff, or British Gas may move you to a more expensive tariff. You can stay on the tariff if they find that you can’t have a smart meter fitted or you already have smart meters.

British Gas’s Everything Online Green Jun 19 prices are fixed until 30th June 2019. There is a £30 per fuel cancellation penalty if you leave British Gas before 13th May 2019. The estimated savings figure on the results table assumes tariff rates and discounts remain the same for a year. However, after the contract period British Gas will either transfer you to the closest equivalent offer available or their Standard tariff, either of which may be more expensive than Everything Online Green Jun 19. British Gas will match 100% of your annual electricity use on this tariff with renewable electricity through Guarantees of Origin (GoOs). They will also offset double the gas carbon footprint created from the gas you use on this tariff through the purchase of Certified Emission Reduction Certificates (CERs) from selected emission reduction projects in developing countries.

Prices on this tariff will follow the price movements of seven suppliers’ (E.ON, SSE, Scottish Power, npower, EDF Energy , First Utility and Ovo Energy) Standard variable prices by tracking the average Standard variable direct debit prices of these suppliers and reviewing the price on a three monthly basis until 30th September 2019. This means that your prices could go up or down. This is an online-only tariff, which means that you must be prepared to manage your account online. This involves receiving and viewing your bills online, providing meter readings online and carrying out general correspondence online. British Gas will contact you by email within two weeks of a price review with any changes to your standing charge and unit rates. It will also include the actual date that your prices are changing. The price change will occur between seven to fourteen days after the email has been sent.

British Gas’s HomeEnergy Fix Jun 2019 customers prices are fixed until 30th June 2019. The estimated savings figure on the results table assumes tariff rates and discounts remain the same for a year. However, after the contract period British Gas will either transfer you to the closest equivalent offer available or their Temporary fixed tariff, either of which may be more expensive than HomeEnergy Fix Jun 2019.

Below are the average prices by region for current average usage figures i.e. gas 12,000 kWh per annum and electricity 3,100 kWh per annum, dual fuel, and payment method is Monthly Direct Debit.

British Gas has launched All Online Feb 2019 and removed HomeEnergy Plus Cover Jan 2019 tariff. Changes went live this morning and the new tariff is available for sale via internet channels only.

Please note at the same time we have added British Gas – Everything Online Jan 2019 tariff for comparison purposes.

British Gas’s All Online Feb 2019 customers prices are fixed until 28th February 2019. There is a £30 per fuel cancellation fee if you leave this tariff but the fee doesn’t apply 49 days or less prior to the contract end date of 28th February 2019. The estimated savings figure on the results table assumes tariff rates and discounts remain the same for a year. However, after the contract period British Gas will either transfer you to the closest equivalent offer available or their Standard tariff, either of which may be more expensive than All Online Feb 2019.

Below are the average prices by region for current average usage figures i.e. gas 12,000 kWh per annum and electricity 3,100 kWh per annum, dual fuel, and payment method is Monthly Direct Debit.
