Free Price Compare Energy Switching Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

The prize (“Prize”) for the winning entrant of the “Win your Gas & Electricity bills paid for a 12-month period” is £1000 on a prepaid MasterCard.
By switching your energy with us, you will be automatically be entered in the Prize Draw. All entrants agree to be bound by the Terms.
Only approved energy switch applications will be considered as valid entry for the Prize Draw.
The promoter of the Prize Draw is Free Price Compare Utilities Limited, a company incorporated in England & Wales (Registered No. 09854794) whose registered office is at 17 Park Road, High Barnet, Barnet, England, EN5 5RY (“Promoter”).
In the event of any dispute regarding the Terms, the conduct of the Prize Draw, its result and all other matters relating to the Prize Draw, the decision of the Promoter shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into in that regard.
In addition to the other provisions of these Terms, to qualify to enter the Prize Draw, entrants must be aged 18 or over and resident in England, Scotland or Wales.
The address and other contact details provided by an entrant in connection with the Prize Draw will be used, in particular, in respect, the property relating to the consumer when arranging the Prize so care should be taken to ensure any such details as so provided are correct. The Promoter shall have no liability for any of its actions attributable to the entrant’s failure to provide correct details.
Employees of the Promoter or any associated company of the Promoter and their immediate families and any persons connected with the administration and promotion of the Prize Draw (and their immediate families) shall not be eligible to enter the Prize Draw.
The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to ask for evidence to verify the age, identity, residence and/or eligibility of an entrant to the Prize Draws at any time. The Promoter may withhold fulfilment of the Prize until it has received such evidence from the winner of the Prize and failure to provide such evidence to the Promoter as required may result in forfeiture of the Prize.
By entering the Prize Draw, each entrant confirms that all information submitted by them is true, current and complete at the time such was submitted.
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant from the Prize Draw if it has reasonable grounds to believe that the entrant has breached any of the Terms.
Entry into the Prize Draw is free but, to validly enter into the Prize Draw, each entrant must firstly submit and complete the energy switch at either www.freepricecompare.com or by completing the energy switch using Free Price Compare’s call centre.
Entrants shall be entitled to opt-out of marketing at any time by “unsubscribing“
Where a winner has been selected and the Promoter subsequently discovers or has reasonable grounds to believe the winner has breached the Terms, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify such entrant and select an alternative winner. Any further winner will be selected on the same criteria as the original winner and will be subject to these Terms.
If it becomes apparent to the Promoter that there has been use of a computer(s) to circumvent the one entry per person term of the Terms by, for example, the use of ‘brute force’, ‘script’ or any other automated means, that person will be disqualified from entry into the Prize Draw.
All entries by any entrant to the Prize Draw which are incomplete or provided in circumstances where the terms of any narrative provided by the entrant are unintelligible shall be invalid and void.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are misdirected or lost.
The Prize Draw entry is valid from 08/06/2020 to 08/12/2020. One winner will be announced after 15/12/2020. Entries received outside this time period will not be accepted and will be disregarded by the Promoter. Any entrant who is contacted after the close of the current draw can be made eligible for a future draw.
The winner of the Prize will be chosen at random from all qualifying entries to the Prize Draw on the 15/12/2020. In all matters of such choice, the decision of the Promoter shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into in that regard.
The winner of the Prize will be notified by way of the contact details provided by the winning entrant, not later than 7 days after having been chosen and given details of how to arrange fulfilment of the Prize.
If the winner of the Prize does not respond to the Promoter within 60 days of being notified by the Promoter of their win, their entitlement shall be forfeited and the Promoter shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with paragraph 19 of the Terms above, such new winner being subject to the provisions of paragraph 20 of the Terms likewise.
A cash offer or alternative prize may be provided by the Promoter in its sole discretion if such a request is made by the winner of the Prize. The Promoter reserves the right to change the Prize to an alternative prize of equal value for any reason in its sole discretion including, without limitation, due to circumstances beyond its control.
